My name is Jon and I will be living in Japan for 1 year on university exchange.  This site is meant to be a recollection of my journey away from home.  I will attempt to record my experiences as I live by myself and adaptation to the challenges that come with it.  Along for the ride will be a video camera and a laptop to entertain my family and friends back home in Vancouver, Canada, of my adventures in Tokyo, Japan.  This blog will officially begin when I leave for Japan on September 5th and will end when I return the following August (TBD).

Expect food, sights, thoughts, successes, failures, and good times.
